Article Published: 17-Apr-2007

New research has suggested that the cost of life insurance has substantially reduced over the last 10 years.

Barclays Life Insurance have found that as living costs in the UK have increased by 16% the average price of a life insurance policy has almost halved in the last decade.

The main reasons why life insurances premiums have drastically reduced in recent years is do to the increased life expectancy and also because of ever increasing competition between insurance providers.

So policyholders who bought their term life insurance with fixed premiums more than a decade ago could now be paying more than they need to for their cover.
