Life Insurance News: Increase in UK life insurance sales

Article Published: 17-Apr-2007

Life insurance has been increasing in popularity in the UK with 2006 recording record sales. However many young families are still uncovered.

Research by the Association of British Insurers (ABI) has shown that sales of life insurance policies rose by 30% in 2006, as awareness of life insurance is higher than it has been before.

The ABI have urged that more young families should be considering taking out life insurance cover, as it is difficult to predict what will happen in the future.

Those seeking life insurance should consider carefully their requirements, a lump sum life policy or decreasing cover following death or a critical illness diagnosis.

The general awareness of life insurance in the UK is considered to be low in comparison with other types of insurance, as many people don’t consider it relevant until it is too late. However, experts recommend that sooner is better where life insurance is concerned Overall it is a valuable investment for the future at a reasonably small expense.
